- ~Description 1
- FastCD does not require a soundcard to work, but if you want to
- see the oscilloscope of the sound that comes out from the CD drive,
- or set the volume of it, you have to select the soundcard, but you
- do not have to set the parameters of it, FastCD auto-detects them.
-
- ~Description 2
- FastCD contains a screensaver, which darkens the screen after a
- specified time if you do not press anything and do not move the
- mouse. You can set several time settings, or either switch it off.
-
- ~Description 3
- FastCD's graphic system can draw the windows two ways: only put
- them on the screen, or "open" them. Because the high resolution
- video modes slow down the drawing, use opening mode only on
- 486DX 40MHz or over.
-
- ~Description 4
- FastCD has a compatibility option: if you use a Panasonic drive,
- or encounter problems with an other type (see help item Stop Minus
- Value under FastCD help), set this value to 3 or 4. Most models
- (as Sony) work correctly with value 1 (which is the default).
-
- ~Description 5
- Quit Setup program. If you are at the DOS prompt, just type "FASTCD"
- to start FastCD, "HELP" to get help about it and "SETUP" if you want
- to configure it. Type "FASTCD /LANG" to select FastCD's language.
